It would help if I could get the information I asked for: who has the plugin, who hasn't, and what versions they have. Plugins are not installed in Firefox nor does Firefox download Plugins. it seems it is ok if I install a jdk which will create a plugin in plugins, and the extension can't be used. Amazon support also says that after doing this I should be able to go to firefox add-ins and I will see it under plugins and I cannot.
